As a young child, Josh H. Djafari learned the fine art of tailor-making from his mother.  She taught Josh, as well as his two brothers.  Josh has continued the family legacy and his love for beautiful clothing.  Josh’s current store, Josh Tailoring, is located close to Union Square in San Francisco. It is his passion project.

“I have been in San Francisco for 43 years”, says Josh.
“I love this current shop because we attract such a diverse clientele, all interested in high-end clothing. There are tourists as well as repeat customers. The returning customers are always my favorite.”

Customer service is a huge part of Josh’s success.  Fit is guaranteed or you can get your money back.  High marks on both (Yelp and Google) are the direct result of Josh’s dedication to perfection.

Creating a fine suit starts with using the best quality wool.  Josh Tailoring uses only super 100 to super 140 wool from Italy or England for their suits. What this means for the customer is that the material is more comfortable than a standard suit.  Shirts are made with 100% cotton, linen or a blend of the two. “As a fine meal always starts with fresh ingredients, similarly an elegant suit needs to start with the best cloth”, says Josh.  

As with many things in life, the details are important.  Josh Tailoring offers many details in the clothing line such as functional buttonholes, French cuffs, spread collar, button down collar, and hand stitched lapels and edgings. “We follow the customer’s specifications, so the final product is exactly what the client wants”, Josh says. “My passion is to make the client happy. I am thrilled when they are happy with the results.”
